The Call
Thriller Movie, 2020
The Call is about a twenty-eight year old girl in 2020 and a girl also the same age in 2000. The film is set in Korea and the first season is in 2020. It tells the story of two girls in the same place but in different years. The girl from 2020 got a call from someone, but she thought the person called wrong. After a few minutes the person called again. The girl from 2020 took the phone and asked who it was. The person was the same girl Oh Young-sook from 2000. She asked the girl Seo-yeon from 2020 to help her because her mom locked the girl in her room because her mom is a troublemaker. Seo-yeon saw in her living room a newspaper from the year 2000. It tells that the girl Oh Young-sook was killed by her mom in the year 2020. They talked everyday together so that Seo-yun could help her out.
I love the acting in this film. Park Shin-hye stars as Seo-yun and Jeon Jong-seo plays the role of Oh Young-sook. My favorite character is Oh Young-sook because she is very smart and scared.
I think this is an ideal film for people who like scary stories. At the beginning it was very sad but the story is very interesting and unexpected. I give The Call five stars.

I don't even remember what the original of this adaptation was like. It's subpar by comparison.

The mc shouldve offered the past person that they will tell them all the lottery codes and bitcoin and investment things in exchange they have to follow what u want them to do and if their future self comes to take the phone to do it himself just say that itll create a wormhole cuz 2 of the same person cant interact of else things will happend defferent sp he wont be here so it wouldnt make a wormhole so he would be here so yea stonks and profit

Seo yeon was so dumb. 😒
Her 1st mistake was to not talk to the shop owner first she could have known about yong sook beforehand.
2nd mistake was to warn her that her mother was going to kill her ( this is acceptable because i can understand that seo yeon was grateful to her and stuff )
Her 3rd mistake this was so stupid you never ask a serial killer if he or she has murdered someone directly it'll trigger them this is common sense after finding out that yong sook was the killer seo yeon literally asked her about it. I was like y are u doing ittt. 😐
And when u know that a person has complete control over ur past which mean they can alter your present u can't take risk like broo y did u tell her that she is gonna be arrested like are u dumb and now when she knows she'll try everything to prevent it.
And she did she asked u but didn't help her directly she killed ur dad.
Then sending her to that greenhouse when u are not absolutely sure that she'll die (this one is again okayishh cause u didn't have anything else ) .
And her mother was such a good lady and seo Yeon simply hated her her mother even sacrificed herself to save seo yeon.
And atleast she had her mother but because of her stupidity her mother died too.
Ughhh it was so annoying to watch it till the end but still the story was okay had a lots of plot holes tho but it is understandable as the story involves two different timeline so overall i would rate it 6.5/10
