The 2018 Netflix horror-sci fi had a whopping 89 million viewers within the first 4 weeks of its release. It was the most watched Netflix original movie of the year. As with every new thing that takes the social media by the storm, the movie inspired a new “challenge” where people would blindfold themselves and attempt to travel around, as shown in the film. This, not to anybody’s surprises, resulted in a few injuries including a 17 year old girl in Utah drove her car blindfolded into oncoming traffic and crashed her car. Netflix issued a warning discouraging people to partake in this ridiculous challenge that has already proven to be dangerous.
