BigMe isn’t done with the HiBreak Dual. The company’s preparing a third installment, and its pre-order period has started.
BigMe briefly detailed in a press release this morning (Sept. 29) what consumers can expect from the HiBreak Dual 3. The device continues the ePaper main display with an LCD rear display. BigMe states the Dual 3 features a 6.1-inch E-Ink screen and a “detachable magnetic” 5-inch LCD. You can purchase the former in color or B&W.
BigMe equipped the HiBreak Dual 3 with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 and a 4,450mAh battery with 30W fast charging. If you’re curious about its connectivity support, the Dual 3 supports 5G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.3. This phone also supports a stylus. Pre-orders are open for the HiBreak Dual 3; however, there are a few options available before checkout.

The device offers two RAM/storage configs: 12/256GB and 16/512GB. What’s more, consumers can pick their Dual 3 “bundle.” BigMe is offering the device with the dual-screen setup (E-Ink and LCD), as well as the single E-Ink screen. Consumers can pre-order the HiBreak Dual 3 for $649. But if you’d rather drop the detachable LCD, you can purchase it for $589.
BigMe says it plans to begin shipping its latest model in “early-to-mid-November.”
Don’t carry two phones—take the Dual
We’ve been thinking a lot about BigMe’s HiBreak series lately. In July, the company revealed the HiBreak Dual 2. Compared to the first model, the Dual 2 looks like a step in the right direction. BigMe announced its Kickstarter for the device, calling it a phone with a 6.1-inch color/BW E-Ink display and a 5-inch LCD. BigMe was also pretty active on social media (Reddit) in July, too. The company was promoting the Dual 2 while also seeking consumer feedback.
BigMe received strong interest in the Dual 2; however, there was an equal amount of concern about it. One major concern for consumers was bloatware on the Dual 2.
The company has recently updated its Kickstarter page about the Dual 2’s launch window. Previously, all we knew was that it would “launch soon.” BigMe’s timeline states it’s preparing to mass-produce the phone in October before it ships in November.
