Galaxy Z Flip 8 leak reveals a brutal price hike for zero hardware upgrades

What you need to know

  • Galaxy Z Flip 8 leak points to another incremental upgrade, with familiar hardware and few meaningful changes.
  • Samsung may opt for its in-house Exynos 2600, a surprising move for a premium foldable.
  • European prices could jump by up to €180, making the Flip 8 significantly more expensive despite its modest improvements.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to launch on July 22, alongside the Z Fold 8 models, but the latest leak reveals a frustrating reality: you may soon be paying a lot more for almost the same hardware, except without the premium Snapdragon silicon everyone was expecting.

Thanks to a detailed leak from WinFuture, we now know precisely what this foldable brings to the table. The phone is said to pack a 6.9-inch 120Hz inner display and a 4.1-inch outer screen. The camera hardware seems to have been left entirely untouched, with the same 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP selfie shooter.
