Online Appointment Booking | Island Sexual Health

Fantastic News! We have begun to roll out an online booking system for many of our sexual health and primary care appointments. We have launched a limited amount of online booking options for clients linked below and through our appointment page. We will be adding more appointment availability on an ongoing basis as we adjust to the platform and work to smooth out any issues. Please see our appointment page for more specific details. If you don’t see your specific appointment type listed below – eg access to an emergency IUD, please call us 250-592-3479. If you are under 21 and require assistance with booking, you can text our Youth text line 250-812-9374 and we can assist you.

Please pay close attention to the different appointment descriptions and links below. You require your personal health number to book an initial appointment. If you do not have access to it, please call us to set up your appointment.

Sexual Health

Sexual Health Phone Appointments are available for the following concerns:
- Contraception for birth/bleed control – new prescriptions and renewals
- IUD and Nexplanon consultations (required initial appointment before an insertion can be booked)
- Cervix screening consultations (required before a cervix screening appointment can be booked)
Sexual Health In Person Appointments are available for the following concerns:
- IUD removals – If you are removing your IUD to change your method of contraception (you do not wish to get pregnant) please abstain from any intercourse that could get you pregnant for 1 week prior to the removal.
- Routine STI testing for anyone 25 years and younger. If you are over 25 and not experiencing symptoms please visit getcheckedonline.com or an Urgent and Primary Care Centre for your testing. If you are experiencing symptoms of an STI or have come in contact with someone who has recently tested positive for an STI please call the clinic to book an urgent appointment.
- Liquid nitrogen treatment for genital warts.

If you want to book a cervix screening (formerly referred to as a pap exam) please use the sexual health phone call booking link to book your cervix screening consultation (required prior to booking for a cervix screening).

Primary Care

Primary care appointments can only be booked for current attached patients with your primary care provider. It will give you an option of in person or phone appointment when in the booking menu. Appointments are available for the following concerns:
- Follow up appointment
- Medication renewals/check ins
- Skin check/Dermatology concerns
- Physical check up
- Well Baby appointment

For any concerns not listed please call the clinic 250-592-3479 to book an appointment. Please note, if you book something through the online platform that is not listed you will be required to rebook your appointment. This may result in being notified of this when you check in for your appointment.
