Sydney Sweeney‘s rumored breakup from longtime love Jonathan Davino has been confirmed by multiple sources following weeks of speculation.

Amid reports that the formerly engaged couple had called off their wedding, new details have emerged about when they broke up and what caused the split.

TMZ reports that “Sydney and Jonathan are not together romantically and haven’t been since January, when they separated.”

The last time they were photographed together was on January 20 in New York City and it was reported just a couple weeks later that their planned May 2025 wedding had been postponed.

Sydney checked into the Beverly Hills Hotel without Jonathan and stayed there for an extended period of time while Jonathan was spotted overseeing construction on the house they were building together.

Breakup rumors were later fueled by Sydney deleting a photo of Jonathan from her Instagram page.

A source told People that Sydney is focused on her career amid the breakup.

“She’s exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects,” the insider said. “What did make her overwhelmed though was her relationship and her wedding. She didn’t feel right about it.”

The source continued that Sydney is “in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago… This is what she wants to focus on right now.”

“She’s not ready to settle down,” the source added. “They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”

Sydney was just spotted hanging out with a former co-star who was a rumored love interest at one point.
