Oscar Voter SLAMS ‘Entitled’ Timothée Chalamet After Ballet & Opera Diss: ‘F**k That Guy’

March 15, 2026:

Yeahhhhh, the likelihood of Timothée Chalamet winning an Oscar this year seems slim to none at this point!

You know by now that the 30-year-old actor claimed “no one cares” about ballet or opera anymore during a conversation with Matthew McConaughey for Variety in late February. However, he quickly found out that many people actually still care about those art forms. Pretty much everyone slammed Kylie Jenner‘s boyfriend for the past week, which comes at an unfortunate time for him because he is gunning for the Best Actor award for his role in Marty Supreme at the Oscars.

Timothée was a frontrunner for a long time, but after his controversial comments? As one Academy insider previously said, he “blew his chances!” Yikes! We obviously won’t know for sure until the show. It’s looking more and more likely that he is coming home empty-handed on Sunday night, especially as Oscar voters don’t seem to think too highly of him right now!

Entertainment Weekly anonymously surveyed voters about their picks on Wednesday, and one actor did not mince their words about Timmy! They told the outlet:

“Oh, yeah. F**k that guy.”

Damn! The actor continued to bash the “entitled” Dune star, saying they “lost” respect for him:

“It’s so trashy. Punching down on artists who make a fraction of what he makes, yet have spent 10 to 20 years honing their craft? I’m sorry, you know, this guy is not Philip Seymour Hoffman. And Philip Seymour Hoffman would certainly never punch down on opera or ballet dancers. That’s an entitled dude. I’m sorry. I lost a lot of respect for him.”

It is not only his ballet and opera diss that voters are taking issue with, though. They also do not appreciate his almost smug remarks about his own work while campaigning for Marty Supreme. One publicist explained to Entertainment Weekly that they are voting for Michael B. Jordan over Timothée because he “brought a lot to the screen” while playing Elijah “Smoke” Moore and Elias “Stack” Moore in Sinners. Plus, they could not stand Timothée’s “arrogance” this award season:

“I think there was an arrogance to Timothée’s campaigning that, in the year 2026, no one wants to hear or see somebody say that they deserved this Oscar. It felt tone deaf and really disappointing, because I love that movie.”

Other voters also indicated they wanted either Michael or The Secret Agent‘s Wagner Moura to get Best Actor instead. Oh, and EW‘s anonymous voters also made it clear that they also do NOT want Marty Supreme to win Best Picture! So, Timothée really could leave with nothing this weekend! Oof! This is why you should really think before you speak! Timothée has no one to blame but himself at this point if he loses!
