A source explained the cause of Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose‘s divorce.
The 62-year-old “Achy Breaky Heart” country music star married the 35-year-old performer in October 2023. However, he filed for divorce only seven months later in May 2024.

An insider told People that Firerose “isn’t the person he thought he married.”
“He believes that she married for other reasons but love,” they alleged. “He believes she married him so he can take care of her financially. They’ve had drama and trust issues about money.”
Billy Ray reportedly “wants her out of his life.”
As to how the dad of Miley and Noah Cyrus is doing, the source explained that he’s “disappointed right now.”
“But surely will turn it around quickly. He tends to be a very positive guy,” they continued.
The explanation comes only two days after Billy Ray requested a temporary restraining order against Firerose and accused her of putting massive charges on his credit card since they separated.
Miley also made some comments about her dad amid rumors of a family feud.
