These rumors surfaced on X from tipster Ice Universe (via GSMArena). According to the tipster, Samsung is supposedly planning three “noticeable” changes to the S27 Ultra’s camera processing. The first change sounds like a major win for night photographers. They claim the S27 Ultra “shows an improvement in image cleanliness” when shooting in darker places. Photos may feature less noise, facilitating a “smoother” result.
Elsewhere, color tones are said to change. Allegedly, the S27 Ultra will swap its proclivity for cooler tones to warmer ones. Ice Universe then discusses what changes could come for the S27 Ultra’s “highlight control.”

The timing of this is interesting. I was replying to a comment on our Facebook page (of you’re not following, go follow, and chat with me) about camera processing on phones. I’m not a fan of when a phone overly processes my photo. I would much rather enjoy something simple, and if I want to go that extra mile, let me do it myself. I can edit my own photos and such. However, not everyone is like that. On Facebook, the “point and shoot” idea was brought up—and it’s true. It’s comfortable for the majority of people looking to capture memories.
There has been no shortage of S27 Ultra camera rumors. We’ve seen everything from changes to walkbacks. Currently, there’s a rumor that the next Ultra could feature “new technologies” for its camera system. The phone could feature an ISOCELL HP6 sensor that sticks to 200MP.
On the other hand, we have a rumor that says we might not see that telephoto upgrade we were hoping for.
