Samsung is shutting down a couple of apps; vows to return new and improved

Samsung is preparing to shut down two apps, and it’s delivering warnings to users in preparation for what’s to come.

Very early this morning (Sept 7), Tarun Vats on X noticed new warnings from Samsung about two apps that are being phased out. Samsung says that it will shut down the Quick Measure app on December 31, 2026. It adds, “After this date, new downloads and update support for the existing app will be discontinued. You may continue to use the app if it’s already downloaded, but be aware that some features may not function properly.”
