Meta’s new LLM is the latest piece of AI software that’s taking over its devices, and the company says it’s coming to its smart glasses, too.
It’s safe to say this update has already started its slow arrival, so users with these models (Meta AI glasses Gen 1 and Gen 2) should keep their eyes out. A small thread on Reddit discussed this, and one user has received an update, but it appears unrelated. For now, the wait continues. Regarding the user’s question about the Ray-Ban Display glasses, Meta says users with this model will have to wait until the summer for Muse Spark.

On Meta’s blog, it detailed the update users can expect for Muse Spark in the company’s AI app. Leading off the changes is an update for the AI’s voice conversation capabilities. It states, “Muse Spark lets you talk naturally with the assistant—interrupt, switch topics, or swap languages.” What’s more, the AI is said to keep up with your mindset while you talk. Muse Spark can generate images or pull up relevant information from the web during a conversation.
Meta’s Live AI is making the jump from its glasses to its AI app. This opens up the possibility of using your camera to locate an item and ask the AI about it. A shopping update in this patch lets users query the AI for help in searching the Facebook Marketplace or other stores online.
On a related note, Meta Connect 2026 has been confirmed to take place from September 23-24. There, it’s been teased that Meta has VR, wearables, and AI reveals lined up for users and developers.

It’s hard for me not to think that Meta is feeling somewhat inspired by what Google’s been doing. Making Muse Spark and positioning it as a “people first” AI just screams usability in everyday life. Meta wants this AI to be used for simple tasks, for finding information, for understanding, and the like. But, as always, I’m sure it won’t stop there.
